Hallstatt, Upper Austria, is a village in the Salzkammergut, a region in Austria. It is located near the Hallstatter See (a lake). At the 2001 census, it had 946 inhabitants. Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, dating back to prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, a culture often linked to Proto-Celtic, and pre-Illyrian peoples in Early Iron Age Europe.

哈爾施塔特（德語：Hallstatt），位于奧地利上奧地利州薩爾茨卡默古特地區(qū)的一個村莊，位于哈爾施塔特湖湖畔。2001年人口普查時有946名居民。哈爾施塔特以產(chǎn)鹽著稱，歸溯到舊時期，悠久的文化賦予了它此名。哈爾施塔特文化常常與古凱爾特語，以及歐洲鐵器時代的伊利里亞古語緊密相關(guān)。

Hallstatt is known as“the Pearl of Austria” . Hallstatt is truly spectacular, due to its “guardian of the Hallstattersee lake” status and the beautiful mountains surrounding it. Hallstatt is also known for its World’s First Salt Mine and the stunning salt caves which can be visited by tourists. The ice caves are also fascinating. There are many things to do in Hallstatt and we will only name a few: boating, hiking, surfing, visiting the salt mines and the ice caves.
