中國少先隊建隊日于1949年10月13日確立，2019年是少先隊建隊整整70周年。紅領(lǐng)巾是紅旗的一角。其實紅領(lǐng)巾的歷史悠久，源自俄羅斯的東正教。當年，偉大的革命祖師列寧領(lǐng)導人民在俄羅斯取得革命勝利，時為1917年。那時候東正教會在俄羅斯勢力很大，小孩子每個星期天上“主日課”時都會戴著紅領(lǐng)巾當作一個識別標志。在布爾什維克革命取得勝利之后，俄共（布）為加強孩子的共產(chǎn)主義教育，設立了少先隊，那時候俄羅斯社會以紅領(lǐng)巾當作一種光榮，俄共（布）就全盤接收，以紅領(lǐng)巾作為少先隊的一種標志，并賦予新的含義——紅旗的一角。
