One day, three men met with a huge river, when they were hiking. Though the waves were rolling on, they should cross the river. But they could find no way out about how to cross the river.

        One of them prayed, “God, please give me the strength to swim over the river.” In a puff of wind, God granted to him strong, powerful arms and legs. It took him about two hours to swim over the river and for twice he was nearly drowned.

        Having seen that, another man prayed to God, “My God, please endow me with the strength to cross the river and tools.” In a puff of wind, God gave him a boat. He spent around an hour rowing across the river, and also, his boat almost turned over for twice.

        Having sighted the results of those two men, the third man prayed too, “God, please grant me with the strength and tools to cross the river and wisdom.” In a puff of wind, God turned him into a woman. She had a look at a map, and walked upward along the river for two hundred yards, and then crossed a bridge.

    一天，三個(gè)男人遠(yuǎn)足時(shí)意外的遇到一條波濤洶涌的大河。他們需要到河對(duì)岸去，但對(duì)如何過(guò)河一籌莫展。

    第一個(gè)人祈禱說(shuō)：“上帝啊，請(qǐng)給我過(guò)河的力量?！编?！上帝賜予他粗壯的手臂和強(qiáng)健的腿。他花了約兩個(gè)小時(shí)游過(guò)河，其間有兩次幾乎淹死。

    看到這些，第二個(gè)人對(duì)上帝祈禱說(shuō)：“上帝啊，請(qǐng)給我過(guò)河的力量……以及工具。”噗！上帝賜給他一條劃艇。他花了約一個(gè)小時(shí)劃船過(guò)河，其間有兩次幾乎翻船。

    第三個(gè)人看到這兩個(gè)人的結(jié)果，于是也祈禱說(shuō)：“上帝啊，請(qǐng)給我過(guò)河的力量和工具……以及智慧.” 噗！上帝把他變成了一個(gè)女人。她看了看地圖，朝著河上游走了兩百碼，然后過(guò)了橋。
