Once, there was a little giraffe.

He was the first giraffe in the world.

從前，有一只小長(zhǎng)頸鹿。

他是世界上第一只長(zhǎng)頸鹿。

He lived in East Africa...

...with his best friend, Rhino.

他住在東非...

…和他最好的犀牛朋友。

Every day, they looked for food.

每天，他們都在尋找食物。

But the sun was hot and the earth was dry.

"I'm hungry."

"So am I. "

There was no food anywhere.

“犀牛在哪？”

小長(zhǎng)頸鹿不知道。

The little giraffe began to drink.

 He grew taller...and taller...

"Now you can reach the leaves high in the trees,"

said the wise man.

小長(zhǎng)頸鹿開(kāi)始喝那個(gè)神奇的水。

他長(zhǎng)得越來(lái)......越高......

"現(xiàn)在你可以吃到樹(shù)上的葉子了，"

智者說(shuō)。

Rhino had found some dry grass.

He forgot all about the wise man.

"There you are, " said the not-so-little giraffe.

"What happened to you? "

犀牛發(fā)現(xiàn)了一些干草。

他把智者的事拋在了腦后。

“你在這啊，”不再是那么小的長(zhǎng)頸鹿說(shuō)。

“發(fā)生了什么？”

"I drank the magic drink, " he said to Rhino.

"Where’s mine? "

There was no magic drink left.

Rhino was stuck with dry grass.

“我喝了神奇的水，”他對(duì)犀牛說(shuō)。

“那我的呢？”（犀牛說(shuō)）

沒(méi)有剩下神奇的水。

犀牛被干草纏住了。

He was angry with the giraffe and the wise man.

And he was angry with himself.

He’s still angry today.

他非常生長(zhǎng)頸鹿和智者的氣。

同時(shí)他也生自己的氣。

今天，他仍然很生氣。
